A Skylit Drive Announce New Members : A Skylit Drive has announced the introduction of their newest band members, Brandon Rage (Motionless In White, The Witch Was Right, Imperative Reaction) on Drums and Michael Labelle (Last Day Within, Preeminent, Of Reverie) adding Guitar and Screams. Labelle, who sent demos to the band in the hopes of being a part of their future, says it was always his "... dream to tour the world; Joining A Skylit Drive has turned my dream into a reality." As far as what Fans can expect, Rage adds, "I'm so stoked to play this style of music with A Skylit Drive. As far as my drumming goes, the Fans will soon see why they call me 'Rage'." In addition to the announcement of the newest members of the band, A Skylit Drive has also teamed up with Revolver Magazine to premiere their newest music video for the single "Within These Walls" on Tuesday, March 10th. The video was filmed earlier this month in LA with director Ernie Gilbert (letlive., Finch, Bayside).
A Skylit Drive is an American Post-Hardcore band from Lodi, California. The band has released One DVD, One EP and Four Studio Albums. Wires And The Concept Of Breathing (2008), Adelphia (2009), Identity On Fire (2011), and recently Rise (2013). The band consists of Michael Jagmin (Lead Vocals), Nick Miller (Lead Guitars), and Kyle Simmons (Bass/Keyboards). Original member Joey Wilson left the band in 2012, reducing the band to a five-piece. In 2014, Brian White and Cory La Quay departed from the band. The band has toured internationally both as headliner and co support-act. On October 21, both Brian White and Cory La Quay announced that they would be leaving the band due to creative differences, while the rest of the band decided to continue. On January 6, 2015 an acoustic version of the last album, entitled Rise: Ascension, was released. On March 6, 2015, they announced the new members which are Michael Labelle (ex Of Reverie) who is doing Guitars/Vocals and Brandon Richter (Formerly of Motionless In White) who is their new Drummer. Their debut single of the Fifthcoming album is called "Within These Walls" and will be released on March 10th, along with a music video.

First and foremost, We want to express our gratitude towards Our Fans and Friends who have believed in us enough to support the music we love to play. Whether you have been with us since the beginning of A Skylit Drive or have started listening recently, and regardless of how you showed your support (By coming to a concert, Buying our CD or Merchandise, or Spreading the word about us) thank you.
After careful consideration and having spent a significant amount of time making our decision, We will be parting ways with A Skylit Drive. The life-shaping experiences we have had as individuals, with our band mates/fellow touring bands and especially with Our Fans and Friends is what makes our departure weigh so heavily on our hearts. While we arrived at our decision to leave A Skylit Drive separately, our reasons for doing so are very similiar. Unfortunately, the same passion for our band that once fueled out success has changed. How a person values their art and the creative process is their own right, but for the two of us it has gotten to the point that we do not want to lose our love of Writing, Playing and Performing Music because our values and ideas are no longer aligned with others.
When we started this band, We could have never imagined that our dreams to travel and perform on stage across the world would come true. Thankful is an understatement for the way we feel about the opportunities we have been given to live our dream for the past eight years. That being said, We hope that you - Our Fans and Friends - Will continue to Follow Your Dreams, Whatever they may be. Do What Makes You Happy; otherwise there is no point in doing it at all. Music and Performing will always be a part of us, and So we look forward to embracing new opportunities. We will not stop dreaming and We hope you will continue to dream with us.
